Terms of Service
Last updated: July 28, 2026
1. Introduction & Acceptance
Welcome to Toonly, an AI comic and manga maker available at https://toonly.minu.ai and through our iOS and Android apps (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Minu Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore with its registered address at 10A Braddell Hill, #15-02, Braddell View, Singapore 579720 (“Minu”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or Credits, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are incorporated into and form part of these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Toonly. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
You can create an account using an email address and password, an email one-time code, or a supported third-party sign-in provider such as Google or Apple. When you create an account, you agree to:
- provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date;
- keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with others;
- maintain only one account per person, unless we expressly permit otherwise; and
- notify us promptly at support@minu.ai if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. The Service
Toonly lets you turn ideas and photos into AI-generated comic and manga episodes, read comics published by other creators, and publish your own series through Toonly Studio. Some features require a Premium subscription or the use of Credits, as described below.
We are continuously improving the Service and may add, change, or discontinue features (in whole or in part) at any time. Where a change materially and adversely affects a paid feature you have purchased, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you in advance.
AI output disclaimer. Content produced by AI models is generated automatically and probabilistically. Generated comics, artwork, and text may contain errors or inaccuracies, may not match your expectations, and may be similar to outputs generated for other users from similar prompts. We do not guarantee that any generated output will be unique, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Toonly offers auto-renewing Premium subscriptions on weekly, monthly, and yearly terms. The price and billing period for each plan are shown at checkout before you purchase. Unless you cancel, your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period and the then-current price is charged to your payment method.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access to Premium features until then. If we change subscription prices, the new price will apply from your next renewal and we will give you advance notice so you can cancel before it takes effect.
Web purchases. Our order process for purchases made on the web is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all web orders: Paddle handles customer-service inquiries relating to your order and processes refunds in accordance with its Buyer Terms. You can manage or cancel a web subscription through the receipt and management links Paddle provides, or by contacting us at support@minu.ai.
Mobile purchases. Purchases made in our iOS or Android apps are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are governed by those stores’ billing, cancellation, and refund rules. To cancel a subscription bought through an app store, use the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account.
5. Credits (Prepaid Usage Credits)
“Credits” are Toonly’s prepaid usage credits. You can buy Credits in packs and spend them to generate AI content and to unlock paid episodes. Credits are a limited, revocable license to use a feature of the Service. They:
- have no monetary value and are not money, property, or an investment;
- are non-transferable between accounts and cannot be sold or exchanged; and
- are not redeemable for cash or other consideration, except where required by applicable law.
Credits are consumed when you use them. If an AI generation fails, the Credits spent on that generation are automatically refunded to your Credit balance. We may change Credit pack sizes and pricing from time to time; changes do not affect Credits you have already purchased.
6. Refunds
Refunds for subscriptions and Credit purchases are handled as described in our Refund Policy, available at https://toonly.minu.ai/refund-policy. In short: web orders are refunded by Paddle under its Buyer Terms, and app-store purchases follow Apple’s or Google’s refund processes. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory refund rights you have under applicable law.
7. Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you upload to Toonly (such as photos, prompts, and story ideas) and of the comics and series you create and publish (“Your Content”). So that we can operate the Service, you grant Minu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt Your Content as needed to provide, operate, and promote the Service — for example, to display your published series to readers or to feature it within the app. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where Your Content has been shared with others and they have not deleted it, or where retention is required by law.
You are solely responsible for Your Content. You represent that you have all rights needed to upload it — including, for any photo that depicts a real person, that person’s consent to use their likeness — and that Your Content does not infringe the rights of any third party or violate these Terms.
8. AI-Generated Content
Comics and other outputs generated for you through the Service (“Generated Content”) may be produced using AI models operated by third-party providers, and your use of Generated Content is also subject to any applicable terms of those providers.
Subject to these Terms and applicable law, you may use your Generated Content for personal and commercial purposes. Because AI outputs are probabilistic, we make no representation that Generated Content is unique or original to you, and similar or identical outputs may be generated for other users. You are responsible for ensuring your intended use of Generated Content complies with the laws that apply to you.
9. Creator Program & Payouts
Eligible creators can earn revenue from series they publish through Toonly Studio. Eligibility criteria, revenue-share rates, and earning rules are set out in the creator program terms shown in the product, which form part of these Terms for participating creators.
- Earnings accrue to your creator balance in accordance with the in-product creator program terms.
- You may request payouts of your accrued earnings via PayPal or bank transfer, subject to any minimum payout threshold and verification requirements shown in the product.
- You are responsible for all taxes, duties, and reporting obligations that apply to your earnings.
- We may withhold, delay, or claw back payouts where we reasonably believe earnings result from fraud, manipulation, infringing content, or other violations of these Terms.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Toonly to create, upload, publish, or share content, or to engage in behavior, that:
- is illegal or promotes illegal activity;
- infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right;
- sexualizes minors in any way, whether real, drawn, or AI-generated — this is strictly prohibited and will be reported to authorities where required;
- constitutes hate speech, harassment, threats, or incitement of violence against any person or group;
- contains malware or attempts to compromise the Service, other users, or third-party systems;
- scrapes, harvests, or bulk-downloads content or data from the Service, or accesses it by automated means without our written permission; or
- circumvents paywalls, Credit requirements, or other access or monetization controls.
Content intended for adult audiences must be flagged as “mature” when published. Mature content is restricted to users who are 18 or older, and failing to flag it correctly is a violation of these Terms. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service itself — including the Toonly name and branding, our software, apps, website, designs, templates, and all content we provide (other than Your Content and Generated Content) — belongs to Minu Pte. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and website for their intended purpose in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law.
12. Copyright Complaints
We respect intellectual-property rights and expect our users to do the same. If you believe content on Toonly infringes your copyright, email support@minu.ai with: (a) a description and location (URL or series/episode name) of the allegedly infringing content; (b) identification of the work you claim is infringed; (c) your contact details; and (d) a statement, made in good faith, that the use is not authorized by the rights holder.
We review complaints promptly, remove or disable access to content found to be infringing, and may suspend or terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
13. Termination
You may stop using Toonly at any time and can delete your account from Settings in the app. We may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict your access to some or all features, if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Unused Credits and remaining subscription time are handled as described in our Refund Policy and as required by applicable law. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including licenses you have granted for content that remains published, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and the governing-law provisions — survive.
14. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minu will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is capped at the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limitations of liability. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, and nothing affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Minu Pte. Ltd., its officers, employees, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect its intellectual property.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose laws grant you mandatory protections — including the right to bring proceedings in your local courts — nothing in this section deprives you of those protections.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will give you reasonable advance notice — such as by email, an in-app notice, or a prominent notice on our website — before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and, if you wish, cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.
